This boot upper features a functional and fan-favorite outside air vent zipper that puts the rider in control of the level of ventilation to the foot. TecTuff and PORON provide additional protection, and an air bag cushion in the heel softens the step. POROM Extreme Impact Protection for the ankles, is soft to the touch, yet instantly “freezes” upon impact, providing superior protection. It absorbs up to 90% of the energy generated on impact, yet it is flexible and lightweight for greater comfort. Designed with a round toe, lacing is accomplished with metal reinforced logo eyelets. There is a Bar & Shield logo badge at the top of the outside-facing shaft, just under a rolled cushioned cuff. The boots are made with full-grain leather uppers with TecTuff overlays for superior abrasion, oil, and stain resistance. Your foot is cushioned with a full-length mesh lining. Putting on and taking off these boots is made easy with YKK locking inside zippers, the best zippers available. There is also an additional outside facing air vent zipper for those extremely hot days. Extra protection is provided with additional layers of leather on the heels. The boot's sole, insole and upper are bound using resoleable Goodyear Welt construction processes, the most labor intensive and durable construction method available.
