Each vanilla bean is more than 5 inches (13-15 cm) long and packed with gorgeous black seeds. Grown and sun-cured by independent farmers in the remote jungles of Papua New Guinea, this tahitensis, or Tahitian, a variety of vanilla bean gives an exotic punch to every dessert. Exotic and floral, Tahitian vanilla beans are shorter than the planifolia variety and have a unique flavor profile that makes cookies vanish.

Each black pod is the result of painstaking craftsmanship, nurtured by hand start to finish, hand pollinated and sun-cured over many months, with careful inspection at each step. We select only fully ripe, late harvest beans.

Tahitian Vanilla also pairs beautifully with tropical fruits, where it can stand up to the strong flavors of pineapple, mango, and banana. Makes fine bitters in cocktails, introducing a surprise pleasing note to pina coladas, mojitos, hurricanes, and daiquiris.
