US STAINLESS Stainless Steel (316) Bow Shackle 1/4" Forged US Type Oversized 5/16" Pin Marine Grade

This is for one (1) quality marine grade stainless steel (AISI 316) bow shackle. Each shackle is laser etched 316 for the grade and 1/4" for the size. The shackles are marked in the imperial specification style of 1/4" (for the bow diameter). These bow shackles are made in the US Type style of an oversize pin. The bow diameter dictates the size of this US type bow shackle, so in the US Type style this is a 5/16" pin (the body is 1/4"). So this shackle has an oversize pin. This a forged shackle, which for load bearing applications is better than a cast shackle. Not to be used for overhead lifting. AISI 316 stainless is a premium grade of stainless and is considered by many to be best in class. 316 stainless is corrosion resistant and very durable even in the harshest of conditions.
