Comes with a 1 Indexable TNMG16 Insert for best turning finish and results with 6 edges of this single insert to use while working.. Total Height from Base to the Tip of the Indexable Bit is approx 53 mm . Can be adjusted through a packing for higher center height lathes. The Head can be adjusted for different Ball Sizes. Maximum Ball Diameter possible is 42 mm. This existing design is for a perfect fit and direct mounting on a myford lathe machine . however this can even fit to a larger Centre Height Lathe machine with some sort of packing to adjust it to the centre height of the machine that you are planning to fit it onto. The insert tip should be adjusted to the given reading for achieving the desired size of the ball. Pls note the scale is a radius reading, which means that for any set parameter on this scale, you will get double of it as the ball diameter. Example- If you set the scale at a measurement of 15 mm, you will get a ball size of diameter 30 mm. The scale calibration is provided both in Imperial as well as Metric standards.
