The Parrot Wizard Grooming Geo NU Perch builds on the popular Geo NU Perch by adding an abrasive bottom half to help keep those parrot claws trimmed! No more sharp hawk-like talons! Unlike most typical grooming or sanding perches, the Grooming Geo NU Perch does not tear up the pads of your bird's feet. You see, when a perch is abrasive from all sides, while it helps keeps the nails trimmed, it also tears up the skin on the bird's feet. That is kind of like walking barefoot on the street. However, the specially designed Grooming Geo NU Perch from Parrot Wizard is specially made to be abrasive only on the claw side of the perch so that it can be smooth on the skin but rough on the claws at the same time! The curvy bumpy texture provides exercise to the parrot's feet as it walks on it and helps the claws contact the abrasive end from different angles. Your parrot will also enjoy rubbing or scraping its beak on this tough perch. Parrot Wizard recommends mounting the Grooming Geo NU Perch near your parrot's water dish or bottle so that the parrot would have to walk on this perch a few times a day but at the same time spend more of its time on wooden NU Perches.
