The internal serrations of the screw drive carriage are connected to the screws inside the garage door opener track, allowing the garage door to slide smoothly on the track. When you open the garage door opener, if the screw drive carriage component cannot slide smoothly on the track or makes strange noises, and the internal threads are worn, then you should replace it with our new screw drive carriage component.
